Perhaps my drive for success comes from my early days as a two term middle school president and a junior national cross-country runner. Born and raised in Bulgaria, I had not really considered a career in design until I had moved to the United States and was assigned the graphic designer's duty temporarily while my company was looking to hire one. I had so much fun doing it that they never had to employ.

From drawing, sketching, ink calligraphy, and making perfect bound books by hand to doing professional print and web layouts, brand identities, motion design and coding…Phew, I have dabbled and worked in many forms of design, during my under-graduate visual communication days at Arizona State University, and different professional and freelance settings for years after that.

A common connect was my passion to explore deeper and deeper the various forms of design solutions and searching for the best one out there (truth be told, time and budget do not always cooperate with our passions). I have always had the tendency to look at design from a user prospective and wanted to know how visual appealing products influence human behavior.

So, I studied and explored UX further through a Bloc apprenticeship, books, online webinars, meetups, as well as by working on projects, and testing out ideas with real users. My journey into UX design has had a steep learning curve but I truly enjoy observing and feeling empathetic for the users while designing and coding visually appealing user interfaces.
