Hey there! I'm Maria.

Growing up in Bulgaria, I have always worked hard to advance my studies so that I could pursue my dreams. My strong determination landed me the role of school president and member of the national junior cross country team. During my college years, I had the opportunity to explore structural engineering (met my husband there!) and computer systems before I fell in love with design. As I progressed from drawing, practicing ink calligraphy, and making hand-bound books to creating professional print and web layouts, animating, and coding, my passion for design flourished. I have dabbled in many forms of design during my undergraduate visual communication days at Arizona State University (because one Bachelor’s wasn’t enough!), and I worked in diverse professional and freelance settings for years after that.

At my current Senior Product Designer role at Tallwave, I work in a team of talented designers. We help companies design exceptional customer experiences and digital products with human needs at the core.

In my free time, I work on my coding skills, travel, and spend time with my husband, kids, and friends.
